Toncoin (TON) surged more than 7% after Telegram CEO Pavel Durov slammed France for its ”misguided approach” to investigating illicit activity following his arrest in the country. “If a country is unhappy with an internet service, the established practice is to start a legal action against the service itself,” Durov said in a Sept. 5 message in his official Telegram channel. “ Using laws from the pre-smartphone era to charge a CEO with crimes committed by third parties on the platform he manages is a misguided approach.” TON traded at $4.87 as of 2:45 a.m. EST after a 7% pump following Durov’s first comments since his arrest.
