Grayscale Bitcoin ETF sees $579m in daily net outflows

According to reports from Bloomberg Intelligence, Grayscale’s Bitcoin ETF has experienced significant withdrawals, amounting to approximately $579 million.  The magnitude of this withdrawal is notable in the context of the broader market for Bitcoin ETFs. Contrastingly, other spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted nearly $819 million in investments. This stark divergence in investor behavior underscores a critical assessment of the Grayscale Bitcoin ETF’s performance post-SEC approval. Initial enthusiasm, marked by a trading volume of over $2.3 billion on the ETF’s inaugural day, has cooled, with these outflow s suggesting a shift in investor sentiment. SEC’s window for Bitcoin ETF approvals to open today

Bitcoin reached the $36,780 mark as analysts say the SEC has entered a window to approve all the current applications for spot Bitcoin ETFs. Although the crypto market expects the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to approve multiple spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) by Jan. 10, 2024, there’s still a possibility the watchdog might do it even earlier. Grayscale ETH trust nears record 60% discount as nerves continue over DCG

Grayscale’s Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash Trusts are at steep discounts as concerns whirl around Digital Currency Group’s liquidity. The Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) is trading at nearly a 60% discount to the underlying value of its assets, with shares falling 93% from its Jun. 2019 all-time high (ATH). There are many reasons behind the ongoing decline, but in recent weeks fears have grown that fallout from parent company Digital Currency Group’s debt of approximately $1.675 billion to troubled crypto lender Genesis could impact Grayscale assets. YCharts data shows a 59.39% discount at the time of writing, a level the trust has traded at since at least Dec. 28. A one-year chart for the Grayscale Ethereum Trust’s discount.
