DIA Lasernet launches first-ever Layer 2 oracle technology on testnet

DIA has launched Lasernet on the Ethereum (ETH) testnet, pioneering the first Layer-2 rollup designed specifically for oracle infrastructure, according to the latest information shared with Finbold on Wednesday, November 27. The innovative deployment should raise the bar for trustless, permissionless, and decentralized data delivery in blockchain applications. Developers can now test both pull- and push-based oracles on Ethereum Sepolia ahead of Lasernet’s mainnet release in Q1 2025. Leveraging advanced technologies to promote oracle innovation DIA’s new oracle stack ‘Lumina’ espouses modularity, fostering collaboration and leveraging advanced blockchain technology like Optimism’s OP Stack, Conduit, Hyperlane, and Celestia. Pepe Unchained Zooms Past $18M In Presale After Raising $1M In Less Than A Week

Image
Pepe Unchained ($PEPU) continues to strut its stuff in its ICO after hitting the $18 million milestone early Tuesday. The new Pepe-themed meme coin just crossed the $17 million mark on October 3, and in less than a week, it raised $1 million more, driven primarily by whale FOMO. With many developments underway, including a developer grants application set to launch this quarter and a recently posted teaser of its upcoming Layer 2, it’s no wonder this influx of capital has occurred even amid meme coins receiving their fair share of investor attention. These new updates to Pepe Unchained indicate that its Layer 2 could be nearing completion, suggesting that its fundraising efforts may also be close to concluding. While there is no official announcement, investors still have an opportunity to buy $PEPU for $0.00994. However, in less than two days, the price of one $PEPU will jump to $0.00995 in what could be one of the final funding rounds before the I...

Ethereum's Buterin L2 Standard Says Most Network's are Stage 0

Image
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has recently shared his decentralization standards for Layer 2 networks, with most of the blockchains stuck at Stage 0. Indeed, the notable crypto developer had previously developed his three-stage plan for networks. Yet, to this point, most networks don’t stack up. That isn’t the case for Ethereum. Six of its various Layer 2 networks are already at Stage 1, according to platform L2Beat. Just last week, Buterin noted he refused to discuss any L2 that has yet to reach the Stage 1 portion of his standard. “Stage 1 or bust,” he said in a post to X (formerly Twitter). In that post, he discussed Ethereum layer 2s, and their path to become fully decentralized in three distinct stages. The first sta...

BLUR jumps 12% as Blur founder raises $20m for new L2 network

Additionally, Blur founder Tieshun Roquerre raised $40 million to contribute to the Blur ecosystem. Tieshun Roquerre, the founder of NFT marketplace Blur (also known as “Pacman”), is launching a new layer-2 network where users can reduce transaction costs for digital collectibles. In a thread posted to X on Nov. 21, Roquerre addressed high network fees, saying “hundreds of millions have been spent on gas trading NFTs.” Two of the biggest opportunities we see for NFTs are reducing transaction costs and institutional-grade NFT perps. Hundreds of millions have been spent on gas trading NFTs, and perp volume is 6x bigger than spot. These opportunities require an L2. — Pacman | Blur.io (@PacmanBlur) November 21, 2023 Moreover, Roquerre says “almost every” decentralized application, or DApp, on a blockchain has an issue when users lock up their funds in pools, which do not generate yield for them. “This means that Blur users are losin...
