Renowned cryptocurrency analyst Benjamin Cowen has provided insight into the Ethereum market based on monthly return on investment (ROI). Cowen considered the seasonality associated with Ethereum and how the price has behaved at different months of the year.
In a video uploaded on YouTube, Cowen analyzed the Ethereum market across the various months of the year. He observed how Ethereum’s price has behaved across these months and the seasonal ROI trends associated with the flagship altcoin. By looking at the numbers, the analyst figured out when the Ethereum investments are most and least favorable.
According to Cowen’s Analysis, Ethereum tends to do best in the first and second quarters of the year. In that context, he noted that the thesis would advise buying Ethereum in late Q4 and selling about six months later, especially in the bull market. On the contrary, he revealed that buying Ethereum in the summer has historically yielded lower ROI.
Using a thirty-day timeframe, Cowen revealed that the best month to buy ETH is January, while the worst month to do the same is June. With an Analysis tool from his “Into The Cryptoverse” platform, Cowen showed a cluster of the worst months for buying ETH to be between June and November. The ROI for the second-largest digital token through those months was at the lowest value.
Adjusting to a sixty-day timeframe, Cowen’s ROI metric became even more pronounced. He showed that Ethereum investments yielded more immediate returns in the December to January period than in the summer. Hence, he observed that buying ETH in the summer to sell it two months later doesn’t work out well. However, as the end of the year approaches, the odds tend to go up.
