Shibarium Rebounds, Network Grows Threefold in 24 Hours

  • After a shaky launch, Shiba Inu’s layer-two protocol, Shibarium, has initiated a resurgence.
  • The number of addresses on Shibarium surged from 100,000 to over 300,000 in 24 hours.
  • Average block time on Shibarium is 5.1 seconds, according to the network’s explorer.

After a shaky launch, Shiba Inu’s layer-two protocol, Shibarium, has initiated a resurgence. Following the glitch encountered after launching the beta version, Shibarium developers announced steps taken to resolve the issue. Nearly two weeks later, Shiba Inu’s Lead Developer, Shytoshi Kusama, informed the project’s community that the network was back.

Shibarium has displayed impressive behavior since the network returned to life. Specifically, the layer-two network has shown a significant resurgence in the past 24 hours. According to data from the network’s explorer, the number of addresses on Shibarium surged from 100,000 to over 300,000 in the past 24 hours. That marks a rapid rate of adoption from members of the crypto community, not minding the hitches of the past.

The blockchain network’s impressive resurgence is not limited to the growing number of addresses. Transaction activities on the Shibarium network are also skyrocketing. At the time of writing, the number of transactions on the emerging network has climbed to about 524,000, while nearly 370,000 blocks have been executed by the node validators. These blocks were produced in just a few days, with an average block time of 5.1 seconds, as revealed by the explorer.

Apart from the excitement in the Shiba Inu community due to the return of the Shibarium, there is an introduction on the side of Unification, the pioneering blockchain start-up responsible for the construction of the Shibarium. The successful activation of the Unification node creates a new opportunity for individuals participating in the Shiba Inu network. It allows them to delegate their BONE tokens for staking purposes.

Many Shibu Inu community members have expressed excitement about the reactivation of the Shibarium network. As seen in Kusama’s post on X (Twitter), there is significant bullish sentiment among the Shiba Inu community members. Perhaps this could form the tailwind behind the visible growth of the Shibarium network.
