Radix Babylon upgrade enters new age for Web3 user and developer experience

Radix Publishing, the creator of the decentralized ledger platform, has announced the successful conclusion of its much-awaited Babylon mainnet update.

The Babylon update signifies the conclusion of the Olympia period and has been commended by Radix (XRD) as a pivotal milestone with transformative implications for Web3 and the broader DeFi landscape, as per the latest information shared with Finbold on September 28.

To implement Scrypto-based smart contracts and a plethora of new technologies and services, including the Radix Mobile Wallet, the Radix Network underwent what has been called a “substantial update” with the Babylon mainnet upgrade.

“With the Radix Babylon Upgrade complete, the Full Stack for DeFi has come together for the first time, ushering in a new beginning for both existing users, as well as those who were hesitant to embrace DeFi and Web3. A new ecosystem awaits – an ecosystem where builders can intuitively build and launch powerful and secure dApps, and where our friends, family, and colleagues can confidently use them.”

Babylon upgrade’s 5 new products

The Radix Mobile Wallet is one of the five new products introduced with the Babylon update. It is a safe and convenient method to store and manage digital assets like tokens and NFTs on Radix. Using the Radix browser extension, users may establish a safe peer-to-peer connection between their Radix Wallet and dApps running on desktop browsers.

The Radix Dashboard is a comprehensive tool designed to explore the Radix Network. It offers various functionalities such as staking, unstaking, and claiming XRD from validators. Additionally, the Developer Console is provided to assist developers in deploying packages to the network. This facilitates the seamless integration of new software components.

Finally, the dApp Sandbox is a developer tool designed to facilitate experimentation with the various types of queries that a dApp frontend might initiate towards the Radix Wallet. It enables developers to see the outcomes inside the wallet and the formatting of the corresponding responses.
